The Agency for Promotion of Indigenous Crafts would be conducting the ground breaking ceremony for the construction of Royal Craft Village on 15th May 2015 at 2.30 PM at Zamdongthang (present truck parking). The pre-sanctified Sachhu Bumter will be installed at the site in the presence of the Hon’ble Tengay Lyonpo (MoEA) and the High Officials from the Embassy of India.

The overall budget for the project is Nu.180 million and is funded by Government of India under Project Tied Assistance (PTA) of the 11th Five year Plan.

The Royal Craft Village after the completion will be a landmark bringing in variety of the Bhutanese traditional architecture and building typology which will provide platform for rural artisans and craft vendors to showcase and sell variety of traditional arts and crafts produced within the country.
